The Goshen Mills Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), welcomes you to learn more about our chapter and our organization. The Goshen Mills Chapter NSDAR is located in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, Maryland. Our chapter was founded in 1977 with thirteen organizing members and has increased its membership more than seven-fold. Our members comprise a dynamic group of women of varied ages and diverse interests.

The NSDAR is a women’s service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, patriotism, and honoring the patriots of the Revolutionary War. Our local chapter members volunteer hundreds of hours every year and we enjoy participating in educational, historical, and patriotic endeavors. Our service supports the national motto of “God, Home and Country.” Members share a common bond in that we are all direct descendants of a man or woman who provided military or civilian patriotic service during the American Revolutionary War.

Chapter meetings generally are held monthly, on a Saturday, from September through June, with a break in March, to allow members to attend the Maryland Society’s State Conference. We welcome prospective members. Please contact us if you are interested in attending one of our meetings.

The DAR is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.
